Week 35 - (Feb 9-15, 2024)
RECAP:
The project has consistently advanced each week, thanks to the leadership of the wise and experienced Haitian contractor. He has adjusted strategies multiple times to address project requirements and resolve emerging challenges. Nevertheless, the project has encountered significant delays due to persistent obstacles, including the prevailing security concerns across Haiti, intermittent interruptions caused by adverse weather conditions, the remote location of the project site, requests from workers for wage adjustments to transport cement blocks, and negotiations with a local resident regarding compensation for the use of the pulley system on her property. In two weeks’ time (by March 7), the Haitian contractor will provide a schedule addendum outlining his revised expectations for the completion of the school construction.
